AVNET LAUNCH eUICC PRODUCT LINE

eUICC is a game changer for IoT because it puts commercial control and flexibility in the hands of OEMs and Enterprises. Avnet, supported by Arkessa, Idemia and Quectel have successfully launched their eUICC product line with the AVeUICC3100ARK0M7. The industrial grade solution is fully compliant with Remote Provisioning Architecture for Embedded UICC SGP .02 v3.1 and is immediately available for sampling and volume production.

The product is available in both removable plastic SIM cards (2FF) and solderable chip eSIM (MFF2) components, and comes bundled with a pre-paid connectivity allowance underpinned by Arkessa’s global roaming profile and access to Arkessa’s Connectivity Management platform.

The default or bootstrap profile provided by Arkessa gives customers access to more than 600 networks in 200 territories, which equates to 2, 3 or 4 cellular networks in key markets. Arkessa’s connectivity management platform, Emport, gives customers the means to monitor and manage data usage and billing across all of those networks via a single dashboard.

Avnet, with subscription management technology provided by Idemia, provide customers with life-cycle management services enabling over-the-air provisioning including the ability to download new MNO profiles.

Guillaume Crinon, Head of IoT/Security at Avnet said ‘We have extensively stress-tested the system with several cellular modems and with first-class support of Quectel Wireless Solutions. Likewise from our long-term partners, Arkessa and Idemia. Together we have created a solution that gives our customers a global connectivity solution and the ability to switch SIM profiles should they need to down the line.’

Andrew Orrock, CEO at Arkessa said ‘This product launch is a significant milestone for the Internet of Things. As an MVNO, Arkessa stands with Avnet at a pivotal position in the embedded and cellular IoT supply chains where we will play a key role in delivering unfamiliar cellular services to OEMs. Device manufacturers are increasingly building cellular IoT connectivity service into their products to enable faster time to market and new revenue-generating service models. This disruptive eUICC solution makes connectivity easier and future-proof.’
