Black Friday has come round again, accompanied by the familiar levels of retail-induced excitement as many shoppers plan to bag a pre-Christmas bargain. For the last couple of years Black Friday has been a £1 billion shopping day here in the UK, while in the US, spending levels have reached nearly 50 times that figure. It’s safe to say that hitting the shops today is not for the faint-hearted. Yet, it is entirely possible that technology could provide the answer to making shopping mayhem a thing of the past.
