In addition, Arkessa has created a customised service for energy management. It employs multiple mobile networks and provides optimised communications to handle firstly, data from sensors and, secondly, management and control of remote facilities.
For example, one retailer uses the service to receive data from sensors that monitor temperature, humidity and even the number of people entering its retail stores and communicating with a specialised energy management centre which then uses further secure fixed IP connections from Arkessa to manage the heating lighting, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment on many hundreds of sites throughout the UK. Multiple mobile networks are employed to ensure coverage of the many facilities and monitoring points on each site.
